The list includes 17 photos that capture many of the year’s most memorable moments, from the total solar eclipse to the Women’s March on Washington, D.C.

"I love using my stainless-steel tumbler for everything from pool parties and hunting trips to the daily commute," said an inventor from Centreville, Md. "What I don't like is how hot and/or cold the exterior becomes when used out of doors. Mine has become almost blistering hot after sitting in the hot sun for a short period of time. The polished surface makes getting a good grip difficult while driving and has led to spills. That same polished steel surface doesn't fit in well with all of the camouflage at hunt camp either! This style of tumbler has become so popular that sitting one down at a party without marking it can cause a lot of confusion and possibly a lost tumbler or drinking someone else's beverage. I designed this sleeve to alleviate all of those problems and to allow me to customize my tumbler for the occasion/event without having to purchase multiple tumblers."

University of Maryland University College to Hold First-Ever Winter Commencement Ceremonies, Saturday, Dec. 16

University of Maryland University College will hold its first-ever winter commencement ceremonies at the Xfinity Center in College Park, Maryland, on Saturday, December 16. Approximately 1,200 students are scheduled to graduate during two ceremonies held that day.

Representatives with The Creativity Workshop announced today that its June 30 – July 4, 2018 creativity workshop marks its 19th consecutive year hosting a workshop in Barcelona.
Ceci Glusman, spokesperson for The Creativity Workshop, said the Creativity Workshop in Barcelona will meet for five days, three-and-a-half hours per day, from 9:00 AM to 12:30 PM. “Participants will have the rest of the time to wander around Barcelona and the vicinity,” said Glusman.
Class, according to Glusman, will take place at Hotel Gran Derby Suite.

Executive Director John O. “Jack” Snyder is retiring after more than 24 years with the organization.
